0-5k Remote

 

If your employees are thinking about taking up running in order to increase your activity levels and get fit, the first step is often the hardest. This fun & engaging walk / run gradual training programme will be delivered by our Running coach and is targeted towards:

  • Employees that have not run before
  • Employees that have not run in a while
  • Employees that have tried to run in the past but have suffered injuries or pain which stopped them continuing
  • Plus employees who are unlikely to be able to commit to twice weekly meet ups

 

The programme is designed for beginners to gradually build up their running ability to be able to run 5K without stopping. The pace of the eight week running plan has been tried and tested by thousands of new runners, so you can trust the programme.

 

Programme Structure:

This programme is a run/walk to continuous running programme. 8 weeks from start to finish.

Structure is important for motivation, so we will manage that process through newsletters and pre-programme marketing. Details include:

'Beginning to Run' - One seminar focused on challenges, motivation and Q&A with one of our Fitness Instructors. This can either be delivered on site or through means of a webinar.

Weekly motivational email programme including a training plan, nutrition tips, and practical info allowing employees to follow the programme in their own time. 1 Email per week.

We encourage the company to do a 5K race at the completion of the programme, People are motivated by competition and should you wish to organize a company event, we’re here to help.

Number Of Particpants:

There is no limit on participants on a Remote 0-5k Programme.

 

Emails:

Each week participants will get an email detailing the running programme for that week, as well as helpful advice about nutrition, what to wear and motivation. This email scores extremely well in employee feedback. Employees who do not use work email addresses can use their own personal email accounts.

As this is a beginners’ programme, it will be pretty normal for participants to have loads of questions, so we will make the emails as informative and engaging as possible. We also need to drip feed the information as if we give it to everyone on day 1, then they will feel overwhelmed. Therefore, the emails will need to get progressively more motivational and deal with problems that are likely to occur during the process.

Expected Results & Measurement:

By the end of the 8 week programme, we are expecting 40% of those who have started to have completed the programme and be able to run 5k in 30 minutes.

We will report on:

  • Registration Levels at the start
  • % of those that completed the 5k at the end
  • Feedback on emails & Enjoyment level amongst participants
