Learning the keys to happier living!
Happiness is about our lives as a whole: it includes the fluctuating feelings we experience everyday but also our overall satisfaction with life. It is influenced by our genes, upbringing and our external circumstances - such as our health, our work and our financial situation. But crucially it is also heavily influenced by our choices - our inner attitudes, how we approach our relationships, our personal values and our sense of purpose.
In this webinar, our psychologist, Dr. Nicola Elmer, will offer simple and practical advice on how to create more happiness in life by setting a series of challenges which will teach the benefits of seeing the good in things, of exercise and how being kind makes a big difference in life.
Three Good Things Exercise: At the end of each day, write down three good things that happened that day, including why those things were good.
Acts of Kindness exercise: Each day this week, do as many extra acts of kindness for others as possible (try to do at least 1 each day).
Further information: In addition to the webinar, we have created a useful handout which you can print out and refer back to after the presentation. In this handout, we cover some of the key points in our presentation along with a 7-day Happiness Diary which will help you to track what you've been up to.
