Project Weight Loss - 12 Or 6 Week programme 

 

Project Weight Loss enables employees to encourage and motivate one another as each person in the group works toward attaining a healthy weight.

Weekly group meetings and a weekly weigh in are held by a Nutritional expert. Discussion topics are intended as a review of key behaviours which support weight loss and maintenance and also serve as an introduction to the lifestyle changes necessary to achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

Both the 12 & 6 week programme's are structured and are delivered in the same way. The 12 week programme is designed towards more gradual change. The 6 week programme however is designed to be more intensive. We expect the outcomes will be the same for both but depending on schedules, you may opt for one or the other. 

 

Programme Structure:

1 hour Weekly group meetings facilitated by our Wellness Expert.

We provide all PDF Announcement posters, Sign-up links, progress records, evaluation forms as well as weekly recipes. We will also provide a series of videos covering the following topics:

  • Cravings, Self-Sabotage and Motivation
  • Understanding Food Labels
  • Stocking your kitchen & Batch Cooking
  • The Food pyramid, the food plate and portion sizes
  • Understanding Fad diets

Number Of Participants:
Each group is limited to 10 people.
Please let us know if you would like to arrange for additional groups.

Who Will Deliver It?

A Highly qualified Dietitian or Nutritionist will deliver the programme.. We will offer advice on effective weight loss, digestive health, the impact of diet on medical conditions (including heart conditions or Diabetes), special diets, healthy eating and general nutrition. We will also issue each participant with a personal 'weigh card' to keep track of their progress.

 

Choose from 6 or 12 week programmes

Expected Results & Measurement:

By the end of the 12 or 6 week programme, participants hopefully will have lost weight in a healthy manner and have the knowledge to maintain it at a healthy level. We do not set % weight loss targets unless requested to do so but we will record them each week at the weigh in so an overall achievement can be announced.

We will report on:

  • Participant numbers at the start
  • Participants at the end
  • Average change in weight of Participants who completed the course
  • How many sessions were attended on average
  • Dropout numbers & reasons if provided in the survey feedback
  • Feedback & Enjoyment level amongst participants
 
It can be difficult to make permanent changes to habits around eating and lifestyle which have been learned over the years. Long term weight loss is an ambitious goal to set but our weight loss programmes makes it possible. We will provide all the support you need in order to shift those extra pounds - for good!
