Seasonal Flu Vaccine

This is administered from September to February each year. An ever increasing number of companies are realizing that providing their employees with the flu vaccine is good business. This initiative helps keep employees healthy which results in a reduction in the number of sick days lost over the autumn and winter months. Early booking is advised due to a limited supply of the Seasonal Flu vaccine and this will be sold on a first come first served basis.

 

We can accommodate approx. 70 or 140 people in a day. There is a minimum requirement of 35 people for a ½ day.

 

Hepatitis A Vaccine

Hepatitis A virus is usually transmitted by faecal-oral route through contaminated food and water. This Vaccine is administered for plant workers, bin collection services, council workers.

Hepatitis B Vaccine

Hepatitis B virus is usually transmitted by infected blood or body fluids coming into contact with broken skin or broken mucous membrane, also transmitted by sexual intercourse. This vaccine is usually administered to healthcare workers, carers, anyone that has an occupation that involves a risk that they will come into contact with blood.

Cervical Vaccinations

This vaccine is licensed for protection against HPV and genital warts for women up to the age of 45 and Genital warts in men up to the age of 26. The Laya Healthcare fee for this is €156 per person.

Shingles Vaccination

The new shingles vaccine, ZOSTAVAX is also being used in occupational health as it is indicated for protection against Shingles and Post Herpetic Neuralgia in patients aged 50+. People with shingles can be out of work for extended periods of time and it would be advisable to be vaccinated against it. The Laya Healthcare fee for this is €192

  • Case Management
  • Provision of an Occupational Health Advisor
  • GP services (We can provide a drop in clinic for employees to avail of)
  • VDU workstation Assessments (This assessment will look at the equipment, environment/vent/humidity, space, lighting, and an eye test will be performed. Relevant recommendations will be made)
  • VDU vision Testing
